Scrum Master

The Scrum Master is the coach and the facilitator of the team. He/she improves the productivity by means of ensuring that impediments are handled as as soon as they occur.
The Scrum Master controls the inspect and adapt cycles of Scrum. The Scrum Master protects the team and works with the Product Owner to maximize the return on investment. He/she takes care that the agile ideals are understood and respected in the organization.

Responsibilities

• Setting the team up for success
• Organize Sprint Planning, Sprint Review and Retrospective meetings
• Shield the Team from outside disturbances
• Hold brief Daily Scrum meetings
• Remove obstacles to progress
• Remove barriers between development and business stakeholders
• Teach the business how to maximize ROI and meet objectives through Agile development
• Improve lives of the development by facilitating creativity and empowerment
• Improve productivity of the development team in any way possible
• Improve engineering practice and tools so each increment of functionality is potentially shippable.
• Facilitate the Product Owner and stakeholders to define business requirements
