Roles overview
Scrum has a very simple role mode consisting of three roles:The Product Owner, the Team, and the Scrum Master. All management responsibilities in a project is divided among these three roles.
- The Product Owner is responsible for for representing the interest of everyone with a stake in the project and its resulting system.
- The Team is responsible for developing functionality. Teams are self-managing, self-organizing, and cross-functional and they ar responsible for figuring out how to turn Product Backlog into an increment of functionality within an iteration ans managing their own work to do so.
- The Scrum Master is responsible for the Scrum process, facilitate the Team and protect the team from outside noise.
Of course there are some stakeholders too. Stakeholders does not have a defined responsibility.
