Burndown / Burnup charts
Daily-Scrum delivers burndown charts on all levels, project, sprint and team. On personal level either burndown or burnup chart is used depending on how the project is configured.
Burndown charts are used to determine a projects' ability to deliver within a given timeframe.
Project burndown is showing remaining work at any given time.
Sprint burndown shows in detail the work outstanding, as well as the number of tasks remaining, alongside an ideal trend for the burndown.
Depending on how agile project management is practiced, you may choose to use either burndown or burnup charts for individuals. Normal practice in Scrum is to allocate tasks to team members during daily scrum, which makes burndown charts irrelevant. Therefore Daily-Scrum supports burnup charts for this type of projects. However, if tasks are allocated during sprint/iteration planning, you may choose to use burndown charts also for individuals.
Weekends and public holidays are automatically left out of the charts.
